Gotta level with you. As a guy, winter is, by far, the most depressing time of the year. I realize that sounds weird, especially since 'tis the season to be jolly and all, but at this time of the year not even the ghosts of Christmas can lift my spirits. Why am I so glum? Because winter is when women hide underneath bulky jackets and an unfathomable number of layers. Even their shoes ?usually the be all and end all for women save for oh-so-bitter December ?goes from cute flip-flops and sexy heels to galoshes and other god awful plastic boots. Is winter so bad that it's too hard to even make an effort to wear a decent-looking pair of women's waterproof winter boots?
Yes, admittedly, it's the layers and layers of curve-concealing clothing that bums me the most. But it's nothing short of devastating to throw away all pretenses of vanity and style just to stay warm and dry. And you just know things have gone to heck when women's shoes look every bit as worn out and crappy as the average guy's does.
Now I know that it's a lot harder than it sounds ?I'm well aware of how easy it is to lose a toe to the cold out there ?but why can't women just hold on to their vanity even for just a bit so that we men can have a bit more reason to be jolly? I'm no arrogant jackass who thinks women dress only to please men, but really, is the request that unreasonable?
Please, ladies, throw out those god forsaken galoshes and strap on some women's stylish winter boots to remind us all that there are still attractive women beneath all those layers. Because in all seriousness, with all the bulk and without women's stylish winter boots, how are we supposed to tell you apart from the guys?
Fortunately, there are women who make the effort. Although, what some of them do is a bit extreme. I mean, yeah, they look great in women's stylish winter boots and all, though I feel like a complete jerk when I see how my seemingly humble request keeps them cold and puts them at risk of frostbite.
Fact is, there are way too many winter boots that are not warm enough and are not waterproof. So what happens when the wearers get caught in the middle of a snowstorm? Human popsicles, that's what. As much as men hate to see cute girls hide their appeal beneath clothes that look like they came from dad's closet, we'd hate it even more to see the season leave them cold.
Then again, there are women who know exactly what they're doing, going out in the cold wearing the latest in women's waterproof winter boots. Seeing women like those who still care to stay stylish despite the weather is like waking up to see beautifully wrapped presents under the tree on Christmas morning. Naturally, the presents themselves are what really matter, but it looks all the more appealing when they're exquisitely wrapped ?as opposed to being wrapped in old newspapers.
Ladies who sport women's waterproof winter boots, however, not only look great, they feel great too. These boots manage to keep women warm and dry while allowing them to stay smoking hot. It's a wonder, really, why more women don't wear them.
So until that day comes, when more and more women gravitate toward women's waterproof winter boots, us guys will just keep wishing that winter would end sooner than we know it ?so that bikini season, when women could stay hot all season long, could finally get underway.

Caveats In Selecting Women's Waterproof Winter Boots, Part Two
Some things aren't as simple as we'd like them to be. Case in point: women's waterproof winter boots. You'd think that picking out a pair should be as simple as looking over your options and settling on the one that's easiest on the eyes. Then again, you'd be wrong.
As stated in the first half of this article, there are certain caveats to consider when making a selection. With two of the four caveats already discussed and without further ado, we move on to numbers three and four.
3. Waterproofing.
You know full well that the hand-made winter boots you need to buy have to be waterproof, right? Otherwise, there's no point in shopping for women's waterproof winter boots in the first place. But what you might not know (or what the saleslady might not be telling you) is that there are several defined levels of waterproofing, and any of them can boast the label.
What does this mean? Simple. Not all women's waterproof winter boots are equally waterproof, which is why not all of them can be expected to deal with the harsh season of winter. Waterproofing levels range from protection from a mild drizzle to security from something as extreme as submersion, so while you may think that your new pair can get you through a snowstorm, it may as easily be the reason why you never get out of it.
Always make sure to ask just how waterproof your boots are. You need to determine how deep in the snow you can go before they get ruined or some moisture seeps in. Knowing this very valuable information can save your life...or, to be more realistic, the life of your boots.
4. Style.
Last, but definitely not least, style will always be a consideration when picking out hand-made winter boots. If it wasn't, then this list wouldn't even exist in the first place, and everyone and their mother would be wearing ugly plastic boots (also known as galoshes) at the first sign of snowfall.
Fact is, a lot of women think of style first, with comfort and practicality distant seconds. This is why hand-made winter boots have established such a competitive market. Each brand tries to outdo each other by coming up with better designs and more imaginative trends, while the most important quality of these boots their ability to thrive in a winter wonderland is pushed further and further back on the list of priorities.
But all hope is not lost. Thankfully, there are several women's waterproof winter boots out there that boast both style and practicality. By far, these are the best options for you to take, as they will ensure that you can safely and comfortably hike through bitter weather, and look stunning while you're at it.
